TIMEMORE CRYSTAL EYE DRIPPER
BY TREMOR CHRIST
I’ve always appreciated Timemore’s approach to brewing gear – sleek, modern, and built to enhance coffee flavor. The Crystal Eye Dripper caught my attention for its design and brewing consistency, and after several pours, I can say it delivers a pleasantly sweet cup, typical of Timemore’s style.
Using the Timemore Crystal Eye Dripper is a good experience – it brews clean, smooth coffee with a sweet profile that’s characteristic of Timemore gear. But while it nails sweetness, the cup feels a tad flat, missing the lively acidity and brightness I love in a great pour-over.
The design is eye-catching, and the design fits great on a minimalist coffee-counter, but the functionality has room for improvement. The paper doesn’t fit exactly right, which affects consistency, and the grip handle becomes slippery and hard to manage once steam condenses. At this price point, I would love better ergonomics and a slightly more dynamic cup.
Who is Timemore?
Timemore is a forward-thinking Chinese company that has quickly earned a respected place among the world’s leading coffee equipment makers. Founded with a vision to blend precision engineering, beautiful design, and everyday usability, Timemore now offers a wide family of products — from award-winning hand grinders to elegant pour-over brewers, kettles, and scales.
What makes Timemore truly remarkable is how they consistently achieve harmony between craftsmanship, functionality, and price. Their grinders, for example, deliver performance and consistency on par with much more expensive competitors, while their attention to design aesthetics sets them apart in the market.
It is rare to see a brand that so naturally combines innovation with accessibility, and Timemore has managed to create that balance in a way that continues to impress coffee lovers around the globe.
The Positives
Sweet, Balanced Brews – Produces a smooth and sweet cup that’s easy to enjoy.
Modern Design – Looks amazing and feels premium on the counter.
Durable Build – Sturdy construction for a lightweight brewer.
The Negatives
Awkward Paper Fit – Standard filters don’t sit quite right, which can cause uneven extractions.
Slippery Grip Handle – When steam condenses, the small handle becomes hard to hold safely.
Lacks Acidity and Brightness – Sweetness dominates, but complexity and vibrancy are missing.
Final Thoughts
Overall a great entry-point dripper, and looks sensational on your counter.
