CLINICAL VIBES

Ramen being my religion, I'll take one for the team in most cases. I'll literally try visit every ramen shop in any town I'm in so that I can tell my friends where to go when they have limited time. Doing so I walked the 6 blocks to try this raved about ramen restaurant on Sukhumvit.

The interiors gave me the creeps. Too many posh folk. I chose a seat at the counter so I had less visible humans in line. I ordered their Shio Special which didn't come with an egg, 40 Baht extra on top of an already extremely expensive bowl of soup. I waited.

Look, it wasn't bad. But it just felt antiseptic. Clinical. The kind of food that is perhaps cooked to perfect temperatures but not given any love or attention.

I ate it, I sighed. I paid, I left. I'll never return.

It is what it is. Let the rich eat here, I'll go to Bankara or Wakyu.

Popl Burger offers crispy, well-seasoned fries that stand out. However, the burger itself lacks the expected finesse, with a patty that feels underwhelming. Despite the fries, the overall experience doesn't quite meet the high expectations.
