HIDDEN CINEMA CLUB IN TAMAN DESA

The sky was bruised beyond repair, fat droplets of water began falling, splattering the ground in Brickfields. It was time.

A Grab taxi arrived, and the road was navigated, 20 minutes, past blurred buildings through windows streaming with rain. Taman Desa. An odd little corner of KL. Some great food, not much else. Except TDSC, but most people don't know that.

Up the steps and open the front gate, stand and wait. When the owner upstairs spots you on the security camera, you'll be buzzed in and climb up two floors. Inside the universe awaits. Depending on what film, you can be transported back or forward in time, lost for a few hours.

Grab a couch, walk to the back and pay your donation, buy a drink, tea, beer, whatever picks your fancy, and allow yourself to enter the world of cinema.

When the time is up, have a chat, tip your hat, and head back out into the cold, dark truth of reality.
