MILLAB EO1

BY TREMOR CHRIST

Timemore has a partner, Millab, who produce higher-end models for their line. Think Toyota and Lexus, kinda like that. The Millab is their venture into electric grinding on a portable level. Designed with travellers in mind, or people who want an ultra-minimalist kitchen counter, this battery driven grinder weighs in at around 900g.

Able to perform on one charge for over 100 pour-over portions, and about 30 espresso ones (even tho it is not optimal for espresso), this really changes the game for travellers who don't have to worry about charging it for at least a month.

The first thing I noticed is the style. It's exceptionally designed, very striking and sleek, and has that matte black minimalist look. It would fit on any stainless steel counter-top, or on a log in the middle of the forest. The noise level is quite acceptable for the size of the grinder, and the work-flow is pretty easy, the only small annoyance is the removeable lid, which is another thing to lose or drop. But overall, a very satisfying product.

I have had mine for about 6 months now, and below are my thoughts using it.

Who is Timemore?

Timemore is a forward-thinking Chinese company that has quickly earned a respected place among the world’s leading coffee equipment makers. Founded with a vision to blend precision engineering, beautiful design, and everyday usability, Timemore now offers a wide family of products — from award-winning hand grinders to elegant pour-over brewers, kettles, and scales.

What makes Timemore truly remarkable is how they consistently achieve harmony between craftsmanship, functionality, and price. Their grinders, for example, deliver performance and consistency on par with much more expensive competitors, while their attention to design aesthetics sets them apart in the market.

It is rare to see a brand that so naturally combines innovation with accessibility, and Timemore has managed to create that balance in a way that continues to impress coffee lovers around the globe.

The Positives

Style – Let's not kid around, this thing is sexy. It looks amazing on the kitchen counter, and even better on a bungalow balcony when you're making coffee in the morning.

Complete Kit – I love that it comes with everything I need, including a stand, magnetic grounds catcher, spray bottle, and brush. It feels premium right out of the box.

Smooth Grind Adjustment – The dial feels precise and easy to control. I can fine-tune my grind without any guesswork.

Static Reduction – The included spray bottle actually helps reduce static and mess. A small touch, but one I really appreciate.

Impressive Battery Life – I can grind for weeks without recharging. It handles a lot of doses before it needs more power. Especially filter-coffee.

Quiet & Powerful – It feels strong while running but doesn’t make much noise, which makes it nice for early morning brews.

The Negatives

A Bit Heavy –  At around 850g, it’s solidly built, but I find it bulky to travel with. I mostly keep it on my counter. If I do travel I don't bring the stand, as that is almost 300g itself.

Beans Get Stuck In Hopper -  Almost every time I use it, I have to shake or hit the grinder to get the last beans to go through. This is a small thing, but can be something to consider in future editions, to solve a workflow annoyance. In my experience testing the Whirly, it did not have this issue.

Not Great for Espresso –  While it handles pour-over beautifully, I’ve found it doesn’t grind fine enough for consistent espresso shots.

Thoughts

Great build quality, a little on the heavy side, but probably the best portable electric grinder you'll find currently on the market. 100% recommended.
