FLIGHT OF THE SWORDFISH

One hundred meters from the airport departure terminal stands this collossus of carnivorous carnage. A temple of tastes. A behemoth of beauty. A shrine of sardines.

I arrived here with three local friends intent on shattering molars with the amount of seafood we were ordering. Fresh fish, fish heads, squid eggs, vegetables, mushrooms, all ordered and instructions on how to prepare relayed to the kitchen.

Restaurant exterior with two men seated, motorbike parked. Pink awning, white building.

And thus we waited and twiddled thumbs, and annointed hands with holy water, and tapped feet to the inaudible hum of Sun Ra. And behold the feast arrived, and we ate, and we wept, and we stretched, and we coughed, and we spluttered and we hugged.

If in Langkawi, come here, or else.
