WACACO EXAGRAM PRO
BY TREMOR CHRIST
After upgrading from my $2 scale bought in Chiang Mai, I ordered this along with my Timemore C3 ESP PRO grinder. I’ve always liked Wacaco for their
innovative portable coffee gear, so when I saw the Exagram Pro scale, I was excited to try it out. It’s designed to pair perfectly with their espresso makers and promises precision for both espresso and pour-over brewing. After using it for a while, I have mixed feelings about whether it lives up to that promise.
It arrived after 10 days, and I used it for 3 months before testing the Bookoo and Timemore scales.

The Positives
Compact Design – I liked how small and portable it is, making it easy to fit on my brew station or take on trips.
Built-in Programs – It has pre-set modes for espresso and pour-over, which is a nice idea for beginners.
Simple Interface – The touch controls are straightforward, and I didn’t need to read a big manual to figure it out.
The Negatives
Inconsistent Accuracy – I found the scale to be a little unreliable compared to others I’ve used. Small weight changes didn’t always register immediately.
Lag in Readings – There’s a noticeable delay when pouring, which makes it frustrating when timing is crucial.
Silicone Mat – The mat doesn't sit right, so it keeps sliding off which is a bit annoying.
Battery Life Could Be Better – I had to recharge it more often than expected, especially with regular use.
Thoughts
For budget conscious people you may enjoy using this, but for the serious coffee customer, I think for a few dollars more you can get a better option.
