FILL GAS, SKIP THE BURGERS

Though the crowds were barking orders in sizzling meat frenzies, the waft that pervaded to the surrounding area was one of mediocrity. Sure you can source the best local produce, treat your cows with milk baths and high class escorts, but the bottom dollar is "Does the burger taste good?". In my honest opinion, it's a half-way decent burger but leaves a lot to be desired.

I'll admit the novelty of it is endearing. Ordering your burger as someone in a Mercedes pulls up to fill up their tank with the look of sheer terror watching the price ticker roll higher. Not too dissimilarly from my own experience: the burger menu is not cheap. For 20 Eur you get a regular cheeseburger, fries and a can of coke.

Despite waiting in line just shy of twenty minutes, the burger was ready in five. My name was whispered through the intercom and I grabbed my bag and headed behind to find a seat. Those tourists that had already found a seat before their food came were faced with the dilemma of securing a place to eat, but perhaps missing their name when it was read out.

Taking the first bite i knew I was in for a slight downturn in mood. The patty had barely any seasoning on it, the sauce was rather bland, the bun squishy and veering on the sweet side, and judgements can't really be made about red onion and yellow cheese since they're both produced and packaged out of shop. My main gripe was with the fries here. Crinkle cut but not fried enough and completely lacking in any salt. Unbelievably flavourless.

I felt the burger would appease most people, but was definitely not memorable. I have had far better cheeseburgers elsewhere in Scandinavia, a region not known for it's beef prowess.

It was fine, but fine isn't what I'm hoping for when paying a premium price for a take-away meal.
