PLATTERS THAT MATTER

Kadikoy is known for a host of reasons, the nightlife on Kadife Sokak, the Baris Manco museum, hipster cafes in Moda, amazing food, and the lively market. But what flies under the radar is this little corner gem, offering one of the best breakfasts you'll find in Istanbul.

Obviously you're going to have enough food to feed an army, so don't come here if you're solo dining, but at least once in your life you should be privy to the decadence of an Istanbul breakfast platter.

Restaurant exterior with two men seated, motorbike parked. Pink awning, white building.

Crammed to the corners will unspeakable deliciousness, this will set anyone up for a long day of browsing. My tip is to move in random directions amongst the plates, but never, ever forget the honey and kaymak cheese. It's a revelation.

The cafe is a local favourite, and the outside tables get snapped up very fast on sunny days, so come early, or be prepared to wait.

If in doubt on what to order, just show the server the photo above, and they'll be dialed in. It's not cheap tho, as things in Istanbul have gone ballistic due to inflation, but a once in a lifetime treat is worth burning the credit card.

Khao Soi Nimman promises authentic Northern Thai flavors but delivers bland, uninspired dishes. The noodles are soggy, the curry lacks depth, and the overall experience feels rushed and careless. A disappointing stop for anyone craving genuine Chiang Mai comfort food.

Popl Burger offers crispy, well-seasoned fries that stand out. However, the burger itself lacks the expected finesse, with a patty that feels underwhelming. Despite the fries, the overall experience doesn't quite meet the high expectations.
